Hawaii Masters Synchro & Yoga Retreat

Travel to the Big Island of Hawaii for an adventure of a lifetime with the synchro sisterhood!

Who: Masters Swimmers, we currently have 1960’s-90’s birthdays signed up! minimum 1 year synchro experience

Hawaii has been open for tourism with the negative COVID test program since October 2020. The County of Hawaii Aquatics is very excited to help us make it happen as well, with 4 swimmers per lane in the outdoor pool.

Retreat Hosts and Instructors

Alison Williams OLY, RYT 200 Alison Williams was on the USA Synchro National Team from 2006-2016 and was the 2016 USA Olympic Duet Alternate. She graduated from UCLA in 2019 with a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology and will receive and Masters of Education in Transformational Coaching and Leadership in June 2021. She coaches all levels of athletes and has placed athletes on the National Team. She is most proud of her inner journey in learning to use synchro to build confidence, improve self-worth, and heal from trauma.

Ashley Scheiba, RYT 200 Ashley Scheiba served as the Head Coach of Tualatin Hills Synchro Club in Portland, Oregon from 2018-2020. She graduated from the U of M where she swam collegiate synchro. She is a 200 Hour Registered Yoga Teacher and yoga teacher at the Nike World Headquarters. Ashley is an experienced traveler (25+ countries!) and loves to share the experience of exploring new places with others.

Alison and Ashley met coaching Sacramento Synchronized Swim Team. They had an immediate connection and discovered their ability to co-create magical experiences. They completed their yoga teacher training together in India, and are looking forward to sharing their love of the water and dolphins in Hawaii.


Audra Arbas, Underwater Photographer Audra Arbas has been a synchronized swimmer for 30 years.  She previously coached 2 national teams: Aruba and New Zealand for the better part of her 20’s (3 years in each location). Audra currently both swims and coaches masters as well as private lessons for all ages.  Audra has been running a photography business for the past 10 years. She has a degree in Visual Journalism and has a specialty in Underwater Photography.  Underwater is, by far, her favorite place to be!

Camp Daily Schedule:
Day 1: Arrival, Opening Ceremony
Day 2: Yoga, Synchro, Mind/Body Workshop
Day 3: Swim with Wild Dolphins, Beach, Mind/Body Workshop
Day 4: Acro Yoga, Synchro, Voice/Dance Workshop
Day 5: Synchro, Closing Ceremony, Departure

*We can’t guarantee any specific activities but we will try our best to make the retreat complete and full of excitement. Currently the County of Hawaii Aquatics is operating their pools with COVID guidelines.

Description of the Location:
Mauna Lea Manor (Hawaiian : “Mountain Joy”) is a five acre estate in the Kona Coffee Country on the Orchid Isle of Hawai’i. It’s the largest and newest island in the Hawaiian island chain that boasts gorgeous black, green, and white sand beaches! Mauna Lea Manor has an on site studio and a mermaid lagoon (hot tub). There are three guest cottages to share among the campers. 

Sleeping Arrangements:
There are three cottages. You can request to be in a cottage with your friends. There are 3 queen/king beds in lofts to share and 12 single twin beds (bunks) that can be requested on a first come basis.

Cost per person:
$1,300 for the retreat, everything is included except for the flight to KOA airport, which families will need to purchase separately. The deposit to reserve your spot is $850 and will be asked for with acceptance of your registration and waiver. The remaining $450 is to be received on or before March 1st, 2021.

The Refund Policy is outlined in the Liability Waiver, which will be sent to you when you register. $450 is refundable if you cancel for any reason before the retreat. Please secure travel insurance due to COVID-19.

Pricing on photo packages from Audra Arbas are to be announced shortly and will be optional.

Space is limited! This will be a tight knit group of 16 swimmers and a great opportunity to make new synchro friends.
